Our day in the Capital begins with a river cruise taking in some of the famous sights dotted along the River Thames after which we make our way to Buckingham Palace for a 3pm entry. The State Rooms are at the heart of the Palace and provide the setting for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. A special display will present the panorama of The Queen's Year showing how the sovereign's working year is made up of seasonal fixed points of high ceremonial - such as Trooping the Colour and the weekly routine of investitures and receptions. Time will be at a premium so you may like to bring a picnic lunch with you today.
